@evelyn Ahh, then generally less worry; unless whoever attacked that website was knowledgeable about macOS, or any flaws they can exploit from Edge or any Chromium-based software.
In any case, if the site isn't popular (I'm assuming it isn't since it's not on the news) and the individual or group made it obvious their attempt was successful, it's more likely about revenge or something they didn't like. If they ever did set it up to also download a malware or trojan, more likely it works with Windows only.
Best course of action, change passwords or enable two-factor authentication. Personally, I wouldn't worry, especially if there's nothing sensitive and if you're not on Windows. Just basic precautions, as mentioned.
