gentoobro@aral @lhinderberger You can have stability and kids and work on your FOSS projects all at the same time. You just have to give up a expensive, comfortable first-world standard of living, move to the second world, and (possibly) learn a new language. That's what I did and I've never regretted it for a moment. I would give my life for my kids; why wouldn't I be willing to learn Spanish, see graffiti out my window, step over holes in the sidewalk, and get drinking water delivered in carboys for them?
