To preempt responses of "that creates a bubble": bubbles aren't inherently bad. Nobody wants someone to pick a fight with them when they're just out at a coffee shop talking with a friend. People have a right (and a responsibility to themselves) to choose when and in what social spaces to engage with conflict.
There is no moral obligation for anyone to indulge hostility or contentiousness in every space a person occupies, anytime someone demands it. Boundaries are good actually.
