There was something about getting on your bike and riding with all those other people; the wind in your hair. It's easy to go to the gym because I'm already out there. My shoes are already in my backpack.
In other jobs, even when I didn't have to, I'd come in twice a week. Sometimes even thrice.
Due to timezones, I can't even cycle to a co-working place unless I want to get up stupid early for some 9am, and sometimes even 8am, meetings.
I honestly don't like it anymore, but I'd also hate to be in the office every day. It does affect moral, motivation and removes a whole lot of balance and work interactions. You also get really self-censored views of people.
I know people who have taken local jobs, taking a huge income hit, to get away from remote work.
