Trying to dabble in #Nostr again to get a better understanding of it. I do like the fact that your identity remains the same wherever you interact, but man, if people thought #Mastodon and #ActivityPub was confusing, it's got nothing on Nostr. I'm in IT and understand public/private key pairs and it's still not simple when getting started to me. Unless there's some way they figure out how to drastically ease the onboarding process, I just don't ever see it being adopted by many people.
