Joe Ortiz@HughWRoberts Not only social media has a role in the shift, but photographers today made it easy to find client galleries on the web and see full wedding galleries of the couple involved. Probably a promote their work reasons and they own the rights to the content.
As for your other question, I can't say for sure as some families still do it today but it really depends on the family.
