@jeffcliff @Fiddle @Meat_Mom @mrsaturday indeed we do. But the problem is this is a gordian knot the FDA has tied for themselves: "you can't hurt us, we are the only thing protecting your food!".

The only way to deal with a gordian knot is through. Laws for purity in food and drug are obviously important. The germans have had beer purity laws for centuries.

But there have been so many cases of food, spices and drugs from china that have been adulterated, I'm just not sure they are actually even enforcing anything and just rely on self report.
