One of the hardest things about agile, for me, is the expectation that I stick to the plan rather than flexing for the situation. For me, the situation is not just the external one, but the internal one. Some days I have more trouble controlling the focus of my attention. Those days, I often work on things that weren't picked out for the current sprint, and get massive amounts of stuff done, but then I look bad because it's not what I was supposed to work on. It doesn't matter that the order things get done often literally doesn't matter; I still receive negative judgment for it.
