@Suiseiseki got you. This was just meant to be a silly joke, not any form of meaningful discussion. I've only ever seen TLS referred to as such in technical discussions, colloquially SSL is just a catch-all term for whatever makes https work.
Saying "oh no i forgot to renew my TLSv1.2 and/or TLSv1.3 certificate" seems like referring to one's roomba with its serial number in casual conversation to me :nostale_altf:
