Yeah. I run into the WASP Protestant types every now and then who don't get why I'm not in the office every day at 8am.

I've learned to bullshit a bit over the years. Now I just tell clients, "I'm a solo practitioner, I'm often in court in the morning, and otherwise in and out of meetings all day, so if you need to get a hold of me, shoot me an email."

Don't get me wrong, I work, but it's not 9 to 5, and most days it's intermittent, and hour or two here, a few emails and phone calls there, an hour or two after dinner, work while taking a shit, and another hour or two before bed. But I'm not sitting around my office all day waiting for WASP boomers who have some bizarre urge to drive around town starting at 7am.
