@Moon @teratology @aven @ic3l9 @icedquinn it's a product of big companies trying to find a way to continue growth by churning out media that appeals to literally everyone and since that's impossible they try to use cultural hot topics to do this since it both creates Discourse and (theoretically) makes it possible to bully people into liking it. It doesn't seem to actually work but I think that's the logic.
