@Insomnolant @BowsacNoodle It's definitely a coping mechanism. The vast majority of these people do not want or care for politics, so they'll deal with it as little as possible. Imagining that the world still operates democratically is a lie to hold their reality together. "It's not the institutions' fault, it's the blue-haired people who keep popping up. We have to be louder than them!"

I know because I was and am surrounded by people who think that way. The only reason I got out was because I gained a hatred for degeneracy early in life and followed the bread crumbs. These people don't want to hate, so they'll never connect unpleasant dots. They just want to grill, and in a proper society they wouldn't be worrying their heads about it anyway.
