This whole conversation is based on the blurring of the difference between voluntarily adopted hierarchical social forms, e.g. the pirate ship, and hierarchical social forms that require the massive application of violence and the threat of violence to maintain their day-to-day survival. If people aren't naturally anarchists why does the ruling class require so many cops and soldiers to prevent anarchy from thriving?
