chx@izaya @TempestDerg I have certainly bashed HDMI more than once but let's face it: it allows for much longer passive cables which alas is a significant factor in home theaters. Like, you can get a 30ft HDMI cable for <$30 while such a cable in DisplayPort or USB C format is either active or optical and costs like $100+.
