On the other hand, when it considers external URLs (including URLs that belong to AP objects, which I wired into that thing due to the user key changes), it sometimes tries to update them, so those posts might eventually change (the circumstances under which a post gets refetched are currently murky because there isn't a way to trigger that from the outside because I haven't written it yet, but users are updated if an activity from them arrives and they haven't been refreshed in a couple of days). On the other hand, for the nodes I am setting up, FSE's database at the time the machine went down is going to be the canonical starting point for the initial "big" nodes, so if any of the posts remain in that form, FSE and the nodes that make up its clone army will retain like that forever.
