"i put crosses in it because it looks cool" is exactly something a widely respected artfilm director like lynch or tarkovsky would say. but its different for anime because its "for teens" and because it exists within a slop genre? what the fuck is robocop then, just slop or 3deep5u arthouse? can something not be both? is it impossible to read into a childrens book for an adult interpretation?
