    @Ricardus @davidpmaurer Yep, Dems are on their way to just another typical conservative party a la UK Labour and as she says here, if TFG weren't such a threat, we would have seen even more bipartisan hate towards marginalized people, blacks, women, non-cis people: https://mastodon.social/@gwynnion/112022856331119495

    If TFG wins, it's not our fault. Dems did this to themselves which they have failed to realize the first time around and I'm sure they'll blame everyone but themselves.

      That said, part of me worries about Democrats going the way of UK Labour and being just another anti-immigrant conservative party, especially as Biden is even more sycophantic toward Republicans than Starmer is to Tories. If Trump weren't such a polarizing figure, I can't help wondering if we wouldn't see a lot more bipartisanship against the poor, women, and marginalized groups in this country, as the old, wealthy white people divvy things up between themselves.
