I had a covid job as a copy writer (based on a decade's worth of science journalism and blogging), and had a project manager suggest I try Grammarly, to "Avoid so many remarks from the QA editor".

My impression wasn't that it makes your writing white (I mean, I *am* white), it makes it sound like a Silicon Valley product pitch. It made my writing objectively worse, it tried to force completely inappropriate stylistic changes, it was just terrible.
