US cities were bulldozed; there's very little historic walkability left. There's a strong bias against public transportation; that it's inherently dirty and dangerous. Cars are a core part of their identity. US cities were heavily segregated/redlined. Apartments are considered inappropriate for kids. The list goes on and on.
This is a big part of the reason why I don't want to make this content and why I send people to Strong Towns.
