    @danielpunkass as a googler, this is fairly unsurprising. We have several of these sorts of languages, and several implementations of each, they’re very common in big tech. Being implemented in Kotlin is unsurprising as Apple are very significantly Java/JVM on the backend, no Xcode for that.

    Server Swift is great, but Apple are probably fighting 20 years of server Java.
