Paul Cantrell@ludicity I have seen it, and it’s a remarkable film — for the story it tells, and also for its storytelling technique. Many details were a little bollixing for a USian with very little context (Where is this? Who are these people again? Why are there elephants?! Is this…gov? NGO? volunteers? just normal local life…? Huh??), but the film’s total, single-minded focus on the human-elephant relationship is compelling in a way that all that context would probably have spoiled.
