@ciredutempsEsme As Ben said earlier in the thread, we may notice someone about to deploy a code change that will have adverse effects on a system the original author is not familiar with. In that situation, we can't be bystanders: we have a responsibility to point out the flaws.

As a social example, if I say something ableist or -phobic, I would expect someone (probably a trusted friend but maybe a bystander) to point it out.

These cases are unsolicited advice and warranted criticism.
