The Steam Early Access page had bullshots where they made concept art look like it was actual in-game screenshots. The CEO blew EA money on a posh London office and tried to force his dev team to move and work on-site, and about half quit because they didn't want to uproot their families or didn't even live in the UK. This resulted in him scrapping the roadmap, which after all of this, the people that bought the game EA turned on the development team. The story was them trying to shut up their critics by putting out a slapped together 1.0 release. Chucklefish's behavior was bad enough that the guy that developed Stardew Valley ended their publishing agreement once he caught wind of their business practices.
