The problem in always allowing the "less shittier" party in power merely to block the "more shittier" party from power is that it allows the overall system to pile more poop on the rest of us, until we are drowned under the stink of Mount St. Poop. 40 years of seeing the Democrats move further and further to the Right in response to the Reagan/Bush/Trumpster assault of the Republican Right proves this to be correct...
