@Damon @MediaActivist my favorite thing about Reddit was that I knew if I was in the New Hampshire sub talking about New Hampshire, the people there want to talk about NH. If you are on a Covid aware sub nobody’s going to get mad at you for talking about Covid issues. It’s nice to have little conversational spots. But it’s also super sketchy over there.

I’m still subscribed to a few people on substack because they write really well and my life is better because of the information I obtain reading their stuff.

It sucks that substack is cool with Nazis, but I don’t see Nazi stuff there. I don’t go on that platform I just read the pieces that come to my email box. So I don’t think I’m encouraging Nazis by continuing to receive good information from good people. And the people I like are slowly leaving that place and I follow them where they go, but some of them just recently moved there from Medium after Medium decided to train AI with their work, so I understand why they aren’t immediately moving again. Especially when it seems like scattering the people who gather for good information is the oligarchs goal. I think that’s why they let the Nazis on there, so good people can’t reach people who need the information. Same reason melon bought Twitter.
