It's nothing to do with Dr King! It's about clout! So many people who the left admire talk so much about how proud they are about marching in Selma or protesting the Vietnam war, etc etc, so bouncing baby leftists are just experiencing FOMO and making protest memories so that they can tell their grandbabies "I was there! I was there for change"

It's all about FOMO. Or, fear of missing the next Selma moment, or missing the next diner sit in, etc...
