Brendan Jones@AdrianRiskin @apophis @gwit Oh absolutely, though I think that argument is mostly applied to the last 50 years or so (ie post slavery) when extreme poverty has supposedly gone down. (Ignoring of course that capitalism and colonialism were the causes of the poverty in the first place 🤦♂️)
