- Embed this noticeIt's not even as nefarious as that. Often they're managers who've been airdropped into an environment where they don't understand the product from the ground up. They need to be able to hear the jargon as it's spoken in order to regurgitate it at their meetings and correlate it with KPIs, because the actual workers aren't going to do the translations for them. The job of an MBA is to divorce the system from the data in order to find dials to twiddle with, and even they know that if they tweak the wrong dial they can blow the whole system up, but if they don't deliver results then they've proven themselves useless.
