I joined through one account or another around the time the show first mentioned Mastodon. As a geek and someone interested in decentralizing tech and comms, I was curious. I like the idea of protocols, not products. Glad Adam had the same interest and was encouraging people to leave Corporate social media solutions.
I dont think it really clicked with me at first. I had far more value browsing content on Tw and the place was still finding its legs.
