   I joined through one account or another around the time the show first mentioned Mastodon. As a geek and someone interested in decentralizing tech and comms, I was curious. I like the idea of protocols, not products. Glad Adam had the same interest and was encouraging people to leave Corporate social media solutions.
   I dont think it really clicked with me at first. I had far more value browsing content on Tw and the place was still finding its legs.

     I largely fell off, coming back from time to time to keep my account active and take measure of what was going. As my value from Tw declined before Elon bought it. I started spening more time here. It was an interesting mix of Facebook Boomer shit, edgelord posts, people's takes on news and events, local stories from all over, content creators peddling their wares to an audience of peers, puppet accounts for regimes hostile to the US, and the occasional array of dimes with nice racks.

     I appreciated the exposure to new and different things I wouldn't see in a curated, advertiser-friendly Corporate environment. You could tune the signal to noise with a little work and find some gems.

     I can appreciate why this <motions around room> might be something Adam doesn't want associated with the show's brand. It sucks, but I get it.
