I had a job at an aviary when I was 13, and as the youngest staff member had the unwelcome job of feeding the eagle owls. I swear I took my life in my hands every time I had to walk into their huge cage laden down with their favorite morsels.

I was eventually fired for teaching the cockatoo to say the boss was a tosser.

It was worth it.
