    @RustyCrab @Pawlicker @condret they are getting super fixated on the supposed "tech is neutral" viewpoint of the Kagi founder and then saying they are going to go back to Google/Microsoft. Even if you despise Eich's stance from years ago, that is irrelevant now except for signaling (which is what they are doing) or as a personal moral choice. Many of these people are undoubtedly supporting politicians that actively blocked gay marriage at that same time, a greater morally consequential action than making a donation. Microsoft/Google have their own past behavior to be reckoned with. Current Microsoft/Google have moral consequences. If you do the math maybe you don't stick with Kagi but you don't go back to MS/Goog either. DDG incorporates Bing results which is functionally the same thing they are complaining about with Kagi/Brave.
