IDK about US law in this respect, but in many democratic countries, confiscation does not mean that the owner does not get reimbursed for his loss. A (forced) sale if the price wasn't inflated would be fine for me, too. However, netvof all cumulative government subsidies, in particular in the case of #SpaceX.
