mhoyeI've recently discovered the "tie ring", as opposed to the tie clip or pin. It's interesting, but I have concerns, as one must have when trying on any new garment or accoutrement. What signals does the tie ring send, in general or in specific to certain types/styles? And more importantly: where would I go to learn about this? Is there a clothing-semiotics wiki or resource out there I could bring these questions?
