The current Fedi discourse around threads is something like "But if you federate with Threads then those users will have no incentive to learn how the Fediverse works and join our side"

to which I contend that if you think bludgeoning people with information they don't want to learn and shouldn't need to learn will get them to join your revolution, you're doing it wrong.

Most people just want to use computers, not learn how they work. Figure out how to make them want to use your software without needing to learn any new about the underlying technology. They'll never be as autistic as you.
