When visual thinking has come up as a topic, I describe myself as being a highly visual thinker, but that my visual thoughts are more abstract rather than actual images. It's like the shapes of things, but also the shapes of ideas. Maybe I'm not a visual thinker after all, but a third option that few can relate to.
