Diary of an ASD Squirrel. Day 55 Saturday 23/12/23

TL:DR Christmas is incoming ! ; NMS forever! (ish) ; Some folk are born to be gamers - CDP 🧚♀️is definitely one of those people ! 😊 ; Clean build iPhone lives !

Really quite a nice day !

Gaming with CDP 🧚♀️ , building new bases, starting to get her Freighter set up & working thru one of the main quest lines.

Caught up on some TV with Mrs Squirrel this afternoon , she went shopping this morning so now we actually have something resembling the makings of a Christmas Day buffet.

I truly enjoy gaming with CDP 🧚♀️ we tease each other mercilessly & I am constantly impressed how well she is doing in NMS given the massive learning curve that game has !
I try not to take the lead too much because I want her to discover stuff for herself, but sometimes I get lost in the moment & romp off at my normal speed.
We are both learning new combat skills - ie avoiding killing each other - & discovering the intricacies of the multi-player version !
One of these days , when CDP 🧚♀️ asks where something is , I will stop pointing with my finger 😂

A really good sign of my improving MH is that I finally got round to doing a clean install of the OS on my iphone - something that I have meaning to do all year - never got round to it on the old phone & just used the automated xfer process when I got the 15.

All is going well at time of going to press , tomorrow will see the creation of new automation & tailoring of Apps.

Final Thoughts:

A really good day on the whole , only minor triggers which were easily dealt with.

As mentioned before I have found that I have VERY specific requirements for co-op playing, I hope others that have either hinted at , or directly asked me to play co-op with them & have been rebuffed wil understand that it is not something I have any real control over - My autistic mind sets the rules not me.
Maybe with time & learning new coping strategies I will be better able to expand my gaming ‘fam’ (Nuggan I HATE that word 😂 )

My phone is now a lean , mean , dialling machine 😜😂

Cider & rum in the same glass is NOT nice - don’t ask !

Oh can anyone who has used the journaling app ‘Day One’ please let me know if its any good, after 55 days of writing this in IOS notes I need something a bit better. Alternative suggestions also welcome!
