@slash its kind of a shame that there are no archival versions of these shows. i realize they would be large but to my knowledge nobody is storing some of these things in like, ffv1+flac+mkv or cineform+flac+mkv, or lossless h264+flac+mkv, which leads us to a situation where some shows are so old they are still in xvid if they can be found at all.

battlestar galactica and totally spies come to mind. i'd have to recheck but i think starblazers was packaged that way too.

though there is also the eternal cope of 'why re-encode stuff to new formats just buy more hard drives' so idk
