Ah, see, this is one of the reasons for issuing more currency to create rapid inflation: it's a means of draining old people's savings. If they are also lowering the pension, it means they're trying really hard to lower the impact. Kind of dirty, but politicians are politicians and most of them are treating their country like a top-down centralized economy, like the USSR. I don't think this kind of thing can last long.
