@Miaourt Detective part in fact is why I think non-observable systems are the most painful part.

Like lack of tools like dtrace (roughly strace but whole system, kernel included) means being stuck when logs would be a nightmare to store/filter or even obtain at all.
So many times it feels like networking prior to wireshark or even tcpdump existence.
