@kaia@brotka.st Yeah I'm a car person with my own garage so I can indeed keep my fleet of shitboxes running easily.
I would still recommend an older car. While you might have issues it is very often a lot cheaper to get issues fixed on older cars than on newer cars, as they are often are simpler (low labor cost) and parts are generally cheaper too.
The only thing with old cars you should really not get yourself into is things that fall outside of the realm of mechanics such as bodywork (rust and stuff).
