Most people in the army make better than minimum wage when you factor in the benefits and the fact that you don't have to pay for the housing that you don't even want to be living in but the only time you'll be able to blow money on shit like that is with bonuses and unless you make good choices in what you buy you'll regret blowing your money later on.

I bought a vehicle with my bonus and a friend bought a bunch of firearms and saved the rest. Lots of guys blew their money in bars and stuff though.
