It doesn't really work that well, it is essentially closing your eyes while Threads is posting all around you on your server.

People who belong to vulnerable groups are especially not well served by relying on user-level blocks.

Considering Meta's awful human rights record, would strongly recommend asking your server admin to defederate Threads at a server level. That's the only real way to keep their toxicity out of your community.
