    Also neither #Bernie nor #Biden is going to call for a #ceasefire in #Gaza - partly because it means something more specific than “stop wantonly killing civilians/violating the Geneva Conventions” but also because #Israel is going to say no and we will have accomplished precisely nothing.

    (This doesn’t mean activists should stop calling for a ceasefire, “ceasefire” is a synecdoche/shorthand for a lot of things as an activist demand.)
