@sgf @hrefna I think some of them would migrate here if credible entities that dissemenate high quality information would start publishing / promoting. But the influencer/follower clusters (very monetizable and the obvious target of meta) will find fedi::mastodon a half-baked imitation

Agree on the narrowness of the techie crowd. My hunch is to target evolution towards federated special-interests (next-gen reddit/lemmy/discourse/discord etc.) as opposed to a planetary scale 140char gossip space
