There have been calls for the eradication of Palestinians from this mortal coil and the Israeli government have acted upon those calls since 1948 at the very least.

Surely there can be no comparison between the actual murder of at least 16,015 people and calling for the mass murder of an indiscriminate number of people?

The latter can make the environment conducive to a hate crime. The former means the hate crime is already happening.
