As I'm replacing outlets in my house, I notice they're completely soaked with paint. It's like they took all the covers off and just hosed the inside of every outlet with paint. I'm scraping paint off the wires. It's no wonder one of the outlets started smoking and nearly caught on fire. Also, the GFCI outlet in the bathroom was installed halfway reversed, so that in no orientation could it possibly ever make sense, and it took a lot of bravery to decide that I knew better than whoever installed it when I fixed it.
