Just once I'd like a book or podcast or story about people (and they're almost all white) learning to relate to the land and attending to seasonal changes that doesn't begin with, "my partner and I took a year off from our jobs and bought an old house in a secluded natural paradise untouched by humans for centuries."
Where are the stories about people struggling to relate to the land who live in the suburbs working 60 hours a week? That's what I want/need.
