But you have probably heard that things farther away look smaller, even though I guess that might sound stupid to blind people. Now imagine you sit on one side of a room, preferably a larger room. The top left, bottom left, top right and bottom right edge of the room go away from you. Far away = smaller, so the lines go closer to each other far away.
