On further thought, we really should make a minimal feature list that -- independent of any particular implementation or standard -- we'd like the #fediverse to implement. Beyond basic microblogging, it would probably list things such as portable social graphs (and perhaps content?), moderation/reporting functionality, perhaps single-sign-on, one-click follow etc.And then work backwards to what standards work this needs.
